So, you've got back acne.  Now what?  Should you lock yourself up in your room?  Well, it's not the end of the world.  There are many things you can do to rid yourself of back acne.

Getting rid of back acne starts with the clothes.

The back is full of oil glands.  When you sweat, the sweat sticks on the clothes and the skin.  This is one factor that causes back acne.  Many men wear cotton undershirts to hide the inevitable sweat stains.  But they may be trading one embarrassment for another.  The longer that sweat is in contact with the skin, the higher the chance of getting back acne.

People who wear cotton shirts might want to try synthetics instead.  It is best to look for fabric that will not stick to your skin.

Cleaning tips for ridding oneself of back acne.

One good way you can get rid of back acne is to wash your back thoroughly.  The way to do this is to get a "loofah" sponge.  This sponge is abrasive and will scrub off the dead skin cells while you bathe.  Dead skin cells clog the pores and clogged pores cause acne.
